Frequently asked questions.
What is “adiaphora”?
From Greek, adiaphora means “indifferent things.” In liturgical studies, it refers to all those things in worship that do not matter to faith. But just because they don’t matter in a grand sense doesn’t mean we can’t be creative and intentional about these things.
How do I order a stole?
Our online ordering system is currently under construction. In the mean time, use our contact form to initiate the order process. Make sure to mention if there is a color, season, and/or style of stole you are interested in.
Why do the stoles have musical key names?
Since all the stoles can be made in pretty much any color/pattern combination, we needed some way to organize the patterns and refer to finished stoles by this combination. The musical names started as a quick way to organize, and they stuck!
What lengths can I get my stole?
All stoles are made to order, so lengths are customizable. If you have a favorite stole for length, measure one side of that stole and double it. Be aware that Radiant Adiaphora stoles do not have a half-way point: they are one long strip. This will affect how the stole sits behind the neck, but also means that they can be easily used as deacon stoles.
We can also make any stole in sitting length for wheelchair users or online-only worship leadership.
